(Actors: 17 or more)
A lively and humorous Christmas play suitable for
Sunday School students of all ages. Depending on the number of children
involved, the baby-sitter may be taking care of only a few children whose
parents are away for the evening, or on a larger scale, the baby sitter is
taking care of a group of day care children who are getting ready to take
their afternoon naps.
As the baby-sitter gathers up her unruly charges, she
begins to tell the story of Christ's birth which seems to have a peculiar
calming effect on them. The story within the story within the story [this
is not a typo] is a delightful blending of the present, the past, and the
ethereal. God and his arch-angels play an important role in guiding the
"wise" men to the new-born Christ.
Familiar Christmas hymns are suggested which may be sung by the congregation
as a part of this dramatic presentation.
