(Actors: 14 or more, all adults, all children, or a combination of the two)
A comical look at the trials and errors
of putting together a Sunday School Christmas program, written
from a Lutheran perspective. HOWEVER, assuming that Lutherans
do not have a monopoly on the headaches created by this annual
church event, names and places may be changed to accommodate
a variety of denominations!
Only hours before the Christmas program
is to be presented, Elizabeth Agajanian, a new member of the
congregation who is of Assyrian ancestry, makes some basic, down-to-earth
suggestions that make lots of sense and all the difference in
the entire production. Those who are organizing the Christmas
program come to a startling revelation: Ethnic origin has nothing
to do with one's faith or understanding of God's plan for salvation!
Despite all the confusion and aggravation, the Christmas message
still shines through!
