GN-03 "THE LIFE OF LUTHER"
(3 Acts, Actors: 24 plus crowd scenes, actors may play multiple roles)

The drama recounts important events in the life of Martin Luther and the beginning of the Reformation. A secondary story involves three "wise men" who have lost their way as they seek the Christ child. The narrator offers to straighten them out by telling them the story of a different child, a child named Luther.

The drama is a series of vignettes which moves quickly through Luther's life from his birth in Eisleben, Germany, in 1483 to his death in Wittenburg in 1546. Staupitz, Tetzel, Frederick, Melancthon, and of course, Katie, are a few of the individuals whom Luther encounters on his journey from innocent newborn to dedicated church reformer.

The "narrator," who plays a pivotal role as he interacts with members of the cast, reveals his true identity at the end of the drama. He is God!
