Although this series of dramatic dialogues is well suited to seasoned veterans of the theater, it is also an excellent "starter set" for those congregations who are just beginning to use biblical drama in worship. Costumes and sets are optional. Action is minimal. The cast of two is easy to fill. The lively sparring matches between Jesus and the Tempter quickly capture the audience's attention and keep them involved as Jesus struggles in his human nature (as we all do) to resist the temptations set before him. It would be so easy to call upon his divine nature to defeat the Tempter at his own game!
